The One Tournament Nationals is the UK’s biggest one-day national football tournament, uniting nearly 6,000 grassroots players every summer for a day of competition, unforgettable memories, and football magic.
With six regional heats across the UK & Ireland boys teams (U7–U18) and girls teams (U8–U16) will battle for glory – all with one goal: to reach the National Grand Final in July 2027.

17th April U7 to U12 Boys and U8 to U12 Girls 18th April U13 to U18 Boys and U13 to U16 Girls
North West Regional Heat – Jerico Football Hub, Liverpool
15th May U13 to U14 Boys and U13 girls or 16th May U7 to U12 Boys and U8 to U12 Girls *not a full 11v11 programme at this heat
Midlands Regional Heat – Sheffield Hallam

We do not cap squad size, it’s up to you to manage fair playing time on the day. Based on an average squad size, the price to enter is around between £8 to £16 per player ( 2/3 Coffees)

Frequently Asked Questions – One Tournament Nationals 2027
⏱ How long does each tournament last and what is the format?
Each event lasts around **3 hours** from first kick-off to the final whistle. So no hanging around all day on long waits between games, you will be playing back to back . Format: While this can always change as if teams pull out or do not turn up we have to react. However in 2027 we are freshening things up. For 11v11 its 1 group max 5 teams, 80/90 mins of football. Win the group you go to the NF runners up choice of wildcard. For small sided, we are aiming 2 groups of 4, all teams go into a knock out, so to win it you will play 3 knock our games, aiming for 15 mins matches. This fresh format make it more unpredictable, and everyone plays in a KO match = Fun!
🚫 Can academy players take part?
For **Girls U8–U16**, any player is allowed to play. Every player needs to be signed on the Whole Game System for their grassroots club, though. Teams are permitted a MAX of TWO guest players per team ( they can be players that are not signed to their team or on their WGS).
For Boys **U9-U18** if any player has played for a Cat 1 or Cat 2 Premier League or EFL academy in the current 26/27 season, they are not allowed to play ( unless they have been released 90 days before the tournament). We do have a specific Academy Tournament called The Academy One for Academy Players and and teams.
People tip us off at every tournament so please don’t put us in an awkward situation with your team being disqualified on the day, and children’s days being ruined. Football is a small world we are very connected in this area.
🌍 Can we play in more than one regional heat?
Yes – your team can enter **multiple heats**, but you can only secure **one place** in the National Final. Ask us for pack deals if planning to road trip to another region. We have a full weekend package including theme parks, stadium tours, friendlies and hotels.
💷 Do we have to pay to enter the National Final?
No – if your team **wins a regional heat**, you’ll get a **FREE space** at the One Tournament National Grand Final. If you come runners up you will be offered a wildcard space which is a discounted paid entry space
👥 Can guest players play?
Yes – you may register a maximum of **two guest players** (not signed to your team). We will ask to see there ID on the day to verify their age.
